Fried Goat Cheese Balls
These fried goat cheese balls from SUR bring a taste of West Hollywood glamour to your table
10.5 oz La Bonne Vie Goat Cheese
½ tsp Black Pepper
1 tsp Kosher Salt
4 Egg Yolks, large
2 Egg, large
1 ½ cup Breadcrumbs
Ingredients:
SUR’s Mango Dipping Sauce:
¾ cup Mango Pulp, frozen
2 tbsp Rice Cinegar
2 tbsp Olive Oil
1 tsp Kosher Salt
(Blend all ingredients together)
Shape La Bonne Vie Goat Cheese into balls and sprinkle with 1 tsp of salt and pepper.
Whisk eggs and yolks in a bowl until smooth.
Place breadcrumbs in a separate bowl. Dip each goat cheese ball in the egg, then roll in breadcrumbs.
Repeat the process for a double coating.
Chill on a parchment-lined plate for 12 hours or freeze for 30 minutes for a quicker option.
Heat 1.5-2 inches of canola oil in a saucepan to 350°F.
Fry cheese balls in batches until golden brown, turning frequently, about 3-4 minutes.
Drain on paper towels and repeat with remaining balls.
Serve with mango dipping sauce and enjoy!
