Cranberry & Cinnamon Apple Tart

A light tart made with sweet apples and Cranberry & Cinnamon goat cheese

Ingredients:

1 Pastry Sheet

6 OZ Cinnamon & Cranberry Goat Cheese

1 ½ TBL Lemon juice

1 TSP Powdered Sugar / 10X Sugar

¼ TSP Kosher Salt

2 Apples, Peeled / Thin Sliced

1 TBL Un-Salted Butter

1 TBL Granulated Sugar

Directions:

1)  Preheat the oven to 375˚

2)  Peel and cut the apples into half-moons – Cut the core of the apple out

3)  Place the apple slices in water to prevent browning

4)  Divide the pastry sheet into six squares

5)  Use a fork to make vent holes in the middle of the pastry sheet to prevent puffing. Leave a 1” relief from the edges of each square that is not vented

6)  Mix the goat cheese, lemon juice, powdered sugar, and salt – mix thoroughly till smooth

7)  Evenly spread the goat cheese spread over the vented area of the pastry sheet

8)  Shingle the apples over the goat cheese and top with a dusting of granulated sugar

9)  Fold the edges back over the apples

10)  Brush with an egg wash

11)  Bake for 25 minutes until the apples are tender and browned
